‘Oi! Tetsu! Koro! Vivi!’ The brunette peeked out through the door to the change rooms. ‘Are you guys done yet?’

‘Wait!’ Vivi’s voice came from one of the stalls. ‘I still need to get my socks on!’

Ki sighed. ‘Alright. Tetsu, Koro, you done?’

‘Just a sec!’ Koro shouted back from the row of sinks. ‘I can’t get this stupid earring in!’

‘Yeah, I’m done!’ yelled Tetsu.

‘I’m coming in, then, we have to get on stage soon before the people watching go crazy and try to murder us with pencils.’ She walked in, straightening her black shorts, black sleeveless shirt and red silk tie.

Koro turned, rolling his eyes. ‘That was what you threatened to do back in grade eight. I doubt the fans are really going to threaten us with sticks of graphite.’

‘It could’ve happened.’ She pouted.

‘Keyword being “could’ve”.’ He rolled his eyes, turning back to the mirrors mounted on the walls above the sinks. ‘Now help me get this earring in otherwise they really will kill us with pencils.’

She walked over, looking exasperated. ‘Can’t Tetsu help you?’

‘He always gets squeamish by the sight of it going through my ear. Don’t know why though, it’s not like it’s infected or anything,’

Hey!’ complained Tetsu, still beside Koro, leaning against one of the sinks. ‘I’m still here, you know.’

One of the doors unlocked, and Viviien stepped out, adjusting her black and white dress. She raised an eyebrow. ‘You guys are loud, dammit,’ she muttered. Walking over to the other three, she held out a hand. ‘Earring. Hand it over,’ she demanded. Koro dropped the black cross dangling off of a thin wire hook into her hand. She quickly slid it in, sliding the earring backing over the pointy end. Tetsu made a face, and looked away quickly.

‘Done.’ She brushed her hands off. ‘Alright. Are we ready now?’

Ki nodded. ‘Yeah. Let’s go.’ She smiled.

‘We’ve got a live to rock,’ Tetsu added.

‘Alright!’ Ki yelled into the microphone on its stand at the front of the stage. ‘Are you ready to get blown away?’ The crowd cheered, some even holding up large signs with the band name, zero-sin and pictures of the four on it. ‘Our first song is Fragile Shards, hope you like it!’ She stepped back, letting Koro come up to the front. Viviien started playing the melody on her keyboard, with Viviien joining in after a few bars with her guitar. Tetsu started playing as well on his bass.

Koro started singing.

I’d like to know if you really loved me

You always said you did but you still hurt me-even now

Broken hearts and broken limbs-one can heal, and one can’t

Why can’t I stop chasing after you?

Can I ever let you go?

Wind carries the scraps of my love

Wishes always can’t be granted

I try to get the bits of my heart-don’t destroy it

These fragile shards

Your smile haunts me in my sleep now

I don’t know if they’re nightmares or just plain dreams-can you tell me?

I should have known that I’d get hurt in the process of loving you

You’ve broken hearts before-why would I be any different from them?

Wind carries these thoughts of mine

Now if only I wouldn’t think about you

Ribbons of happiness; torn up by us-strands of wishes

These fragile shards of mine

Can’t believe in love anymore

(It’s because of you though, ne?)

But I swear I will let you go

Just watch me

I won’t get hurt again

(won’t get hurt again)

Can’t trust you anymore

I won’t get hurt again

(won’t get hurt again)

Let me prove it to you

Wind carries away my tears

I’ll start again-a clean beginning, now

Fresh footprints and sun in my eyes

A new life without you in it

Our times together can stay locked up

It’s my own wish-please respect it

A blissful blank mind is mine for now

I’ll be better off alone-trust me

Without anyone to hurt me

(I know I’m tricking myself though)

So please just leave me by myself

This is goodbye

He stopped, with the guitar letting out a few last chords. The audience was silent for a while, before bursting into applause. Tetsu laughed. Ki grinned, coming up to the mike and handing her guitar off to Koro, who took Ki’s spot at the left of the stage. Tetsu started playing again, and then the other two came in as well. She waited a few bars before starting to sing.

A little box in the corner; gathering dust

A broken hourglass, grains of sand falling one by one

A treasure chest by the wall, unopened

I’ll leave them alone-I don’t want to be hurt by memories

A music box of my life

Don’t let it wind down now—

I’m running out of time

As I walk through this house of memories

I see everything that I could have done

But I have no time left for regrets

There’s something that I must do before I die

I’ve always felt that this place was special, for some reason

Even though it’s plain, it still has some kind of unseen charm

A precious place close to my heart

I haven’t been here in ages, but

Why does it still feel the same?

As I walk through this house of memories

I see everything that I could have done

But I have no time left for regrets

There’s something that I must say before I fade

Why does my imagination

Do this—it’s only in my mind

As I walk through the place of my dreams

I feel that now you’ve forgiven me

But now I must leave for your sake, and mine-

There’s something that I must say

And this is my last chance—sorry

She laughed, before winking and smiling at the crowd. ‘Alright, we’ve got a special song for you guys! Consider it a thank you for coming here!’ She took her guitar back from Koro, while Tetsu pulled the strap over his head and leaned it against the wall. The two went up to the front, while Ki went back to Tetsu’s spot.

Grinning at each other, the two looked out at the crowd. This was where they all belonged. And they’d be happy to do this for the rest of their lives.

Life goes on; we can never look back, though we’d like to change our past mistakes

Don’t forget me now; you’ll have my love from now on

Together we can face anything in our way

The sun will shine bright everyday...

Lawl. X3 I had fun writing this. Yes, I wrote all these lryics myself. XO

Anyways, I have no idea what the next chapter's going to be about. All I can say for sure is that it will probably be up here after the first chapter of red on white and definetely after Last Stand. xD Sorry, guys.

Yes, I decided to name their band zero-sin. Problem? XD
