This is just a poem that I wrote one day. I felt inspired. I used it for a English project. Enjoy!

Above the Clouds

Rain is falling like tears from the sky.

My sails climb into the flooded high.

Even though the shores are weeping,

I make my way into the yonder leaping.

Cloud cities expand in every direction.

Trumpets sound in a huge brass section

as I make my way through the city gates

like I was president of the United States.

Inside the walls I am greeted by a girl.

She is as beautiful as an ocean pearl.

She grabs my arm and away we went.

But like I care… to a lesser extent.

She drags me into the loco crowd

in this city above the rain clouds.

“Sis,” I say, tugging her back to myself.

“Where are you taking yourself?”

“I am taking you to see,” she says,

“A sight of the sea.” Her eyes look ahead.

We run until the edge of the clouds

And see an ocean no longer in shroud.

Sun stretches along the horizon:

A large fire burning blazon.

A perfect picture without a crack.

“Big brother, it’s nice to have you back.”
