I Truely Wish I Could Hate You

I truely wish I could hate you, darling

But it seems when I try, I just...CAN'T.

I truely wish I could forget you exist

But when I do, I feel empty inside

I truely wish I could curse your name

But when I do, I feel like I'm damning my soul instead

I truely wish I could smile again

But it's an empty smile, either way

I truely wish I could look into your eyes and say, 'I HATE YOU'

But when I try, you just look away yourself

I truely wish I could hate you, darling.

What else is there to say?

I truely wish I could stop these pills going down my throat

But I also truely wish I could hate you.

Life isn't fair, isn't it?

NOTE: Heylo. This is a poem dedicated to a friend of mine...or, ex-friend.
