Dancing Under the Full Moon

She finds her white long silk nightgown

She puts it on

Then she looks into the mirror

Checks out her profile

With a smile, she walks down the stairs

Ever so quietly

For the night is beckoning her

Asking her to join in the fun

As she reached down from the step

She noticed her beautiful black cat

Sitting in the windowsill

His eyes watching her

She smiles at him

Walks over to him

And rubs his ears

Kisses him on his soft, furry head

Then she walks out her house

Onto the patio

Looking around

Making sure no one is watching her

Then she steps out from the patio

Onto the damp grass

Then she looks up towards the sky

The moon is full tonight

Her body begins to move

Under the moonlight

Feeling the energy of the Earth

Feeling the energy of the Moon

She begins to dance

Under the full moon light

Her body moving so gracefully

The movements were perfect

She is doing this for Mother Earth

She is dancing

Dancing for the Goddess

Dancing for the God

She is pretending that she has a partner

She is imaging that her lover is here

With her, in her arms

Dancing under the full moon

Dancing together

Like the God and the Goddess

Dancing together

In a happy celebration

A beautiful harmony

One with nature

One with the Spirit

Two becoming one

She continues to dance

With her lover

Even though the image is fading away

She still dances

The moon is setting now

She stops

And bows down to the moon

Says her thanks and good nights

She turns around and walks back

Into the house

And up the stairs

To her bed

With her white night gown

She gets into bed

Knowing that she will see her lover

Knowing that the God and the Goddess will show a way

For them to be together

One day

To be happy

And to be love
