her homework incomplete,
she was nowhere to be seen.
where is she?
they pondered with all their might,
she was nowhere to be seen.
her chores were left unfinished,
the dishes were not clean,

they called her name…
no answer came.
she was nowhere to be seen.
they called the police,
they hadn't a clue,
she was nowhere to be seen.
there were no leads,
not a suspect at all,
she was nowhere to be seen.
they cried out,
"why her? why not me?"
