Shougo (Noon)
The subway was packed with the usual sort—
Solemn salarymen,
Giggling schoolgirls—
All unique in their conformity.
Fluorescent lights lit up the shadows,
Dressing tunnel walls
Like a gaggle of ganguro gals.
At the next station she waited,
—Anxious, restless—
And with a gentle sayonara
She gave the tracks a humble bow.
