The Moon

She was there when you were born,
She is here to stay,
She will watch us in our plight,
The sun keeps her at bay,

For only, the bright hot great sun,
Can keep the moon at bay,
The only time she lives in fear,
Is in his rule all day.

A perfect balance, light and dark,
Fighting for the world,
Ever since that first old day,
That the world was hurled.
