In the dark of the night, her tears concealed

Her pillow stained with all her emotion

Her lips tightened from fear of secrets sealed

The terror in her heart she cannot wield

Her thoughts swirling in a whirl pool motion

In the dark of the night her tears concealed

From frequent thoughts inflicted there’s no shield

To stifle thoughts that could fill an ocean

Her lips tightened, from fear of secrets sealed

Unveiled trapdoors, more trials revealed

Steady heartbeat, increase in demotion

In the dark of the night her tears concealed

To respond to sleep, but she cannot yield

Thoughts on fire, an onslaught commotion

Her lips tightened, from fear of secrets sealed

The upspring of thoughts has not yet appealed

Bringing herself to dispel the notion

In the dark of the night her tears concealed

Her lips tightened, from fear of secrets sealed
