The adrenalin

rushes through me

like a waterfall

from hand

to foot.

The power

The effort

The courage.

So much potential

so little acceptance.

The crowd roars

at each

and every hit

over the net.

The teams chase

each other

up the scoreboard.

Awaiting the final result.

You walk on pins

and needles

as everyone

chants your name.
