You kiss those raw lips

cherry from bites and tears

whispers those words all over again

like they never meant a thing in the past

and mean everything, to her and me

you lay on her couch, remarkable

as if you'd never committed that sin

on mine last night twelve am

and said you'd never leave me

you touch her thighs, feather soft

and tell her all those lies

that i believed last week, in the dark

and still none of them understand

before its way too late

you walk around her room

as if you'd never laid on mine

and as if you'd never locked another door

and said everything will be fine

you go from girl to girl

as if you'll always get what you want

when out there, somewhere

I'll always want you instead

but you'll never want me again
