Ravine

Crouched down inside a deep ravine
You really think you can’t be seen?
Running through the ages
Of this story’s worn out pages.

What the hell was going through your head
As you watched him fall, he’s dead
And what can you do to mend the pain
Only the blood washes away in the rain

Ghosting figures run by
A little girl, lost, starts to cry
When teenage boys run in herds
Lies are all that’s in the words

Our world itself is dying
The people never stopped the lying
“Lets save the world. We really care.”
And yet why is it they never share

Crouched down inside a deep ravine
You really thought you weren’t seen?
Hiding from the responsibility
Of saving a lost humanity?
