Hell in a Handbasket

Your view of the world dares differ from mine?
That cannot be, something doesn't feel right.
So while I have this day in the light tinted lime,
I'll force you to change, with one heck of a fight.

Mortars and bombs,
With artillery galore,
We'll crush your hopes,
Wreck your dreams to the core.

We batter your bodies with blow after blow,
And...your resolve grows stronger?
We torture and torture, hoping no one will know,
Yet the battle draws on longer?

Mortars and bombs,
With artillery galore,
We'll crush your hopes,
Wreck your dreams to the core.

Just a catch in the plan, a snag, a hitch,
Nothing a few missiles can't repair,
Afterall, winning hearts and minds is a bitch,
It's easy when we ignore your despair.
