And there's nothing left but roses and ashes
Taste the irony on your lips
Drown in your deaths bitterness
Mourn for the love that was never yours
Drink from the fountain where hate pours
Give me, for once, the peace of night
Forgive and forget our every fight
I live with remorse every day
Please don't let it end this way
Brushing my fingers across the script
Engraved on your vase-like crypt
Words that sealed your brutal end
Memories that only rip, not mend
One by one each flower is laid
Each rose, so delicate, marks your grave
And, in your urn your ashes rest
Laced with the sorrow that you knew best
