The sun

It glows

So warm upon my skin

But something

In me

Hides within

Broken,

Sunless

My heart,

So uncompromising,

Lurks in shadows

But it is the shadows

That make that same

Heart beat, that sees

Me live

Yet it is those

Same shadows

That leave me

Crying at night
