Author's Note: I wrote this in the middle of Spanish class and it originally had all these cute little drawings on it that made me giggle. I was gonna scan them in so you guys could see them but the scan didn't come out too well, unfortunately. Whatevs.

And then the rain came
lightly at first,
like little elves tap-dancing on
the pavement,
but then it came harder
until every square inch of fabric
on my cotton t-shirt
was saturated.
I shivered, but
I couldn’t help but let
a smile slip out.
It was the perfect day.
