Lifebane
As
I bite into your skin
And taste your juicy flesh
Your blood
runs down my chin
Satisfied I am at last
But only for
awhile
And then I'll long for you again
To taste your sickly
sweetness
And drain your lifebane away
My teeth embrace
you
With the gentlest of bites
Pieces of you
Stuck on my
whites
Oh how many too many to count
I just want
To
taste your sickly sweetness
And drain your lifebane
away
Author's Note: This poem is about me eating tangerines.
