"Poison"

I am poison,
Sugar-coated to go down easier.
You took me as candy, sweet and good.
Now I hurt you minute by minute,
Yet you still dwell on my delicious taste
And will not purge yourself of me.

I hate what I am.
I never asked to be this way
But nothing will ever make truth of the old illusion.
Here is your reality:
I am not saccharine, but cyanide.
Save yourself.

Author's Note: Dark thoughts of late... But this is how I feel. Nothing much has changed it.. I look forward to January, if for no reason other than the fact that it is a new year, a time for fresh starts... and most importantly, it is not December...

I'm sorry if I'm random. It's been that way for awhile...

Sirius
