Death's Open Cage

Curled up,

Like a paper ball,

Were the black and white memories.

Shattered but not broken,

Losing the color fading in the new life.

Misplaced in the thought,

Of the…

Growing,

Slipping,

Faling,

Taking over.

Of all you've been, and

All you ever tried to live up to him.

Lost in what you are now,

Nothing but the thief,

The liar and the whore.

Slipping farther away

Into the lie.
