You’re standing in a field

A plain of yellow grass

You look up with those large, black eyes

And stare at the Sun

Not at all afraid of its power

You let out a shrieking call

That is nonetheless deep

Then you move in a slow circle

Your hands up in praise

I love you

Your eyes say

Do you love me?

No

The Sun says

I do not love you

You are destroying your mother

You are crestfallen

I can see it in your face

You fall down on your knees and cry

How can I make it right?

You ask

Heal her

Save her

The Sun answered

How?

You ask

The Sun doesn’t answer
