Photoshopping Memories
29.12.06

Winding these hot metal memories
around my hands and watching
as they cool and shrink to fit my mind
curls them fallibly unique.
In missing you I’ve changed
the background, words, and endings
until we must be fated, for
I knew you in my dreams.

Cue to a crowded street stumbling
with ignorants, and we the luminescence
in a darkened world. Convinced
I weigh heavier on the balance of truth,
my storm incubates under thoughts
green sky thick, then shatters,
deluging you with fingers undoing
the knots we tied to mark our way.
You shout back, heaving rotten peaches
until a fadeout suffocates the stench.

Rewind, rework, reword, remind
that I am not God, to speak
and make and thus unmake,
though Lucifer tried his damnedest.

This was literally thrown together in approximately five minutes, just a cleansing ramble. Sorry if it seems disjointed, I may polish it later.
