Swan Song

Most days they're just not worth livin
You're too tired to keep on givin
The more you give the more you're spent
The more you try the more outta shape you're bent
Word on the street is you've stopped believe

Do you remember the last time you truly smiled
Momma said it was pretty
but I suppose it's been a while
You gave up tryin so long ago
Only thing pushin you on is a repetitive flow
And I know you're thinkin

If I die before I wake
The earth it would not quake
Two tears alone would be shed
And life would go on
So this my dear this is my swan song

If it all ended right now
What would you have to show
Nothin but an imprint in the bed
One day you'll have to learn
That messages in snow they always melt away
And messages in sand
time will soon erase

If you have somethin to say
Your voice is fadin away
Please say it now
Please say it before you go
You say

If I die before I wake
The earth wouldn't bother to shake
Two tears alone would be shed
And life would go on
So this my dear i
s my swan song

Why has nobody seen that you're broken?
Why don't you ask to be fixed?
Why has nobody seen that you're broken?
Are you askin for this?
The situations hopeless you're chokin
Drownin in your abyss

If you die before you wake
Would the earth even bother to shake
Whose are the two tears to shed?
Would life really go on
After hearing your swan song?

If you died before you woke
The world would wish you'd spoke
Acted on what you meant
Stuck to what you'd said

Today you died before I woke
I just wish you'd spoke
If you'd acted on what you meant
Stuck to what you'd said
I wouldn't be here
Singing your swan song
