Come Fly with me

bodies pressed together and arms held aloft

we'll soar above all others

The others who mock and spit and scream

They hate us, we are the last of our kind

You fear them, You pity them

worthless emotions my love

we handed them our voices

they used them to scream

we handed them our kindness

they use it to destroy

we just wanted to be counted

they ripped our wings off

we are beautiful creatures,

of the same flesh

we are the last of our kind

the last two creatures huddled together

we stand in ruin and decay

we've been written off

Erased

it's too late to come fly with me

They've killed us,

we of the same sex

we are burning

from flesh to ash

But we are still intact as one

Bodies bound, pressed together

and arms, held aloft
