Dog Dreams

It was cold outside so the dogs, Shelby and Heidi were inside. Shelby was at the foot of the very dusty stairs and Heidi just came running in to Melissa’s room, jumped on the bed, and laid down. Heidi tried to get comfortable, (without success). She started to drift of into a dreamlike sleep. Heidi dreamt she was in the backyard on a beautiful sunny day, the only thing different is that Shelby is tied to a tree.

“Shelby lets play,” said Heidi happily.

“Okay!” said Shelby enthusiastically.

That was way too easy Heidi thinks to herself.

(Meanwhile Shelby is dancing like a crazy dog.)

“You seem different Shelby,” said Heidi looking at Shelby with amazement.

“Oh I am only a puppy doin’ my thang” she replied.

“Shelby, you don’t talk like that,” said Heidi, looking at Shelby with curiosity.

“I am not Shelby.”

“You’re not?”

“No” she sneered, “I am Mullygin in disguise.”

“No!” Heidi yelped.

Mully takes off her Shelby mask and starts to chase Heidi. Heidi makes it to the house faster than she usually would have. She cannot fit in. Mullygin looks at the gigantic over hyperactive dog and starts to quiver with fear. Heidi was growing. She grew 100 feet. Then Shelby comes out of the house and sees Heidi. She thinks to herself. Wow, I was right! I am the incredible shrinking dog. I hope she does not ask me to play. What was even more amazing was that Heidi could hear Shelby’s thoughts, (well it was a dream). Of course Shelby was not shrinking. Heidi was growing!

“Ahhh! I am getting bigger” howled Heidi.

Melissa comes outside and looks at Heidi.

“Heidi stop growing already” she said without even paying attention to the frightened cat or the astonished dog. By the way, Shelby and Heidi liked seeing Mullygin scared. (Mean Puppies)

All of a sudden, the ground started to quake and rumble there was a loud booming voice

“Have you seen ma dog?”

It was the 150foot boy looking for his dog. He hands Melissa a poster.

“Sorry this poster is too big to read,” Melissa said the huge poster was on her head.

“Oh, sorry,” said the boy as he hands her a poster big enough to read. Melissa peels the poster off his massive hand. She looks at the poster.

“Sparkenstine!” Melissa replied, “That is an odd name.”

“Hey, Melissa, that dog looks like a rabbit dog,” said Shelby.

“You are right Shelby it does,” Melissa replied.

“Can I have your talking dog?” The 150 foot Boy asked.

“Talking dog?” Melissa said, looking puzzled. Melissa looks over to see Shelby.

“Who, Shelby?” Melissa said, “Get your own talking dog!”

“Wait! Is that ma dog?” said the 150 foot Boy, He pointed at Heidi.

As you probably can tell, he mistook Heidi for his dog.

“Wow this dog belongs to you?” said Melissa flabbergasted. “For a moment I thought it was Heidi!”

Well of course, I am Heidi. She thought to herself looking at Melissa as she always does. Then as magically she had grown, she started to shrink back to her normal size.

“Hey were did ma dog go?” said the boy

“Oh your dog is probably next door and it isn’t that lady all though it is easy to mistake her for one, even 100 foot dog,” explained Melissa.

The 150foot boy stomps of looking for his 100foot dog that apparently looks like Heidi.

“Heidi! What are you doing out of the yard”

Melissa then sees that Heidi out of the yard.

Heidi ran in protest. Heidi thought Shelby was out of the yard, but she was not she was in the dogs yard as she was supposed to be. Then poor Heidi could hear Shelby taunting her.

“Told you so, told you so!”

“No! Do not bring me back there” yelled Heidi.

Too late! Melissa grabbed her and dragged her back to the same old detestable tree. Then what was even weirder the Tree said, “Give me bread, give me milk.”

Luckily she woke up panting before anything stranger could happen. Heidi got of the bed walked up to Melissa and gave here kisses.

“See you later dear," Heidi said as she left the room.

What a bizarre dream Heidi though to herself. She trotted back up the stairs.

It was Sparkenstine looking through the window.

“So,” he asked, “where is my bread and milk?”
