Our drunken cries echo against the walls. A champagne bottle blows it's cork somewhere behind me, and I am sprayed with the sizzling drink. I laugh, but I don't know why.

Cheers, cries, screams that shake the foundations. Horns and fireworks; the ball is dropping but no one is watching. And everybody is kissing everybody, while I sink into the shadows, the bottle in my hands.

Welcome, 2007.

These new years always find me the same way.

I tried to capture the chaotic suspense of the countdown in this, and the realization that another year has gone by but none of the pain has gone with it. That's what I tried to do; tell me how I did?
