The house on the sea-

White and blue and green-

Was a good home for me:

A house on the sea.

Every summer we went,

Momma, Daddy, Baby, and me;

We always had great fun in the sun

At that house on the sea.

Daddy showed us how to swim,

Momma taught us how to read;

We always learned fun new things

At that house on the sea.

There was always a ton of people,

Friends, cousins, all milling about;

Every year, everyone, even crazy Aunt Lissy went

To that house on the sea.

Baby would have nightmares at home,

Sometimes I would too,

But the nightmare-monster never came our way

At the house on the sea.

We always had great adventures,

Baby and me,

We explored, hiked, and ran some more,

At that house on the sea.

We're getting old now,

Momma, Daddy, Baby, and me;

Soon we won't come anymore, says Daddy,

To that house on the sea.

I loved that place,

Simple, quiet, serene;

I loved our house,

Our house on the sea.
