Gaea’s Downfall

In forests ancient and green
Roam the ones who dwell
In nature’s beauty
Faeries and Sprites
Nymphs and Spirits
Dancing amongst light breezes
On leaves
So green and translucent
Flowers in abundance
Swaying to and fro
Under the gentle care of the
Wee folk

Magical Guardians of nature
Let your love for all nature’s beauty flow
Never wander from your noble duties
For even though centuries fly by
And the world evolves
Nature’s beauty
Still needs protection
For with the world’s
Evolution
Comes the downfall of
Anything green and
Pretty

Instead there are
Buildings and concrete
Where there once stood
Proud oaks and graceful maples
Where there are paved roads and telephone poles
There once were
Oceans of green grass and ballerina flowers

Changing times mark a
Change in values
Nature no longer reigns important
And the Faeries and Sprites
Nymphs and Spirits grow weaker
In their magick

As faith in nature’s mystery
Diminishes
In the hearts of people
Industrialism
Becomes valued over
Gaea’s natural gifts

Slowly nature is dying
In front of all people
Forever lost and without
The chance for nature to
Reincarnate
Because there is no more
Care for nature
