The Love of Rhiannon and Tuathal

O listen to this tale of days so old:
A tale about a Faerie and Banshee
Who loved a love shunnéd by this world;
A kind of love never meant to be.
A fair maiden, Rhiannon the Faerie,
The granddaughter of the great Faerie King.
Who loved the evil King of the Banshee
Tuathal, the name of the evil being.
In secret they met under the starry sky
(To avoid the scorn Rhiannon would face),
For she had power only she could supply
(He intended to kill the Faerie Race).

Alas Tuathal did fall into love,
And he could not kill the race she came of.
