Star of Dreams
In the ruins of ancient cities
on the wake of destruction
there is a star...so far away
in the ashes lies the broken pieces
of shattered mirrors.
That star is still there, so far and bright,
the sun won't come back up
from the hourglass of time
imprisoned in the fragile starlights.
On the movement of revelation
forward from the sands of flowers
wasted away without any light
but the people walk on with no care
or even acknowledge what happened.
They won't open their eyes for they are blind,
see through all the hidden masks and see into the future.
That star of hope is my only light
which others ignore in the optimistic world
and never see reality...
Walking for hours on this cold world
I seem to be going further but end up in the same place.
Everything is so bleak and I'm alone
to wander in this journey that never seems to end.
Will it ever end? When will I see that star?
Am I getting closer in this reality?...
The hourglass is frozen over; the sun won’t come back...
There is that star; so far, far away...
