Every Couple's Secret

Hugging, Kissing
Fondling, Caressing
Touching, Feeling
Holding, Never ending

Every couple does it
Yet none speak about it
Everyone happens to enjoy it
But none will admit it

Some choose to embrace it
Seeing it as a form of expression
While others choose to condemn it
Viewing it vile and unloving

When two come together
The expressions are endless
Akin to paintbrushes on a lazy canvas
Spreading their ink in random splatter

But when you cover parts of it
Choosing not to let ink come near
Limiting your forms of expression
You'll feel trapped and lost

Every couple has done it
Or at least some, or many, but never none
Never choose to be jealous of
Your partner's previous partner

For if touching bothers you
What about the kissing
Or the hugging, or the holding
Or even the whispering

None should affect either person
For all these experiences vary
And are never the same as any
So none should ever feel ununique

So vary your patterns
And paint on the canvas freely
Slide and stroke
Don't worry if it drips

This painting will never be sold
Never to be released, nor shown
Nor displayed at some exhibit
But just hung in your own bedroom

So just relax, and paint.
