' Like a Shattered Amity '

... Treat them like a being

of nowhere to be seen ...

A companionship if endless outburst

- Endowed with different facades -

We are like a burning candle

- hooked with strips of scurrying light -

My aura was a little less lit

Because of a frown that’s never to cease

The vigilance was gone

and so was the warmth

.. I was the threat to be delivered ..

But never the lifesaver

Acknowledge I gave them-

but none was brought back

So it was a puzzle trying to be formed

Pieces of it one by one are encased

Scattered, yet, fully consumed by a broken

heart

/They saw it but to the extent

that I was begotten/

“Shame on them” I say

Our lives are not truly significant

A sign of hope was just a forge

It’s nowhere to begin with

.-. Can we mold the one thing that has kept us close?.-.
