On cold winter nights, from the sky falls snow
And she sleeps; and while she slumbers, she dreams
(All night, while the harsh winter winds still blow)
Of finding someone on which she can lean
And having someone to tell all her fears.
While in the raging storm the snow does swirl,
And freezes even the warmest of tears;
So cold at night, under blankets you curl.
In winter silence your sounds resonate
And deafening silence remains the same
For each day something else will complicate
And she still dreams of one who never came,
For wintertime can be too harsh and cold
To those who dream away and are not bold.
