Death stood, rigid and impassive, on the incline of Earth's axis. He was aware of his purpose, his destiny. Instinctively, he nodded to himself. Used to solitude, he frequently answered his own questions and, if in a garrulous mood, conversed with himself. And, through whispered ink-stained words, he illustrated kismet.
