Running the whisk through batter thick and pale. Dough rises, doubling in size. Pounding, molding, flattening with the heavy rolling pin. Sugary and good, layered in the pan.

Into the oven, hot and steaming. Set the timer, relax on the couch. Wonderful aroma in the apartment, making everyone happy.

Timer goes off, cake ready to be taken out. Apply the icing, squeeze out flowers from plastic bags. Wonderful confection.

Ready to eat. Taken away, impaled by forks. Last bite taken. All gone. Broken down in the stomach, sugar buzzing happily. Everyone loves a sugary treat.
