My foot steps out onto the boards
And into the light
Into everyone's view
The pit starts playing the opening chords
All my life has been leading up to this
Ever since I was young
I was preparing to get up here
This is pure bliss
The introduction is coming
To an end
The strings have stopped their strumming
There's no turning back.
Finally, after all the preparation
I'm standing on the stage
I open my mouth and sing
My song of jubilation
