Trying To Be Cool 2005

When I try to be rough and tough

I get knocked my butt

And when I get up

I fall down twice as hard

Then when they take pity

I feel as if their just saying

‘You’re a wimp’

‘You’re not tough enough’

‘Because you’re a sissy little girl’

But then I try

And pass them by

Faster than I knew I could

I blame the tears as sweat

And I bet it’s true

They know it’s fake

So why should I try

To be one of the guys

Because if it’s one thing I know

Is their not just fools

With nerf balls tools

But friends I can count on

Even though sometimes it appears

To you to be untrue.
