The Catacomb

Flushed away in the depths of your mind.

Flustered at why but knowing either way.

The spiderwebs like tightly woven glass illuminate what you perceive in the hallway.

Deceiving, inviting.

The gloom is redeeming in a sense.

It's desired. It's needed.

The corridor leading towards the end of artificial light, and life as you know it.

Leading towards natural dimness had restored that which can not be.

You follow the mist which emphasizes the labyrinth that balances you on a different foot,
Towards a tunnel that you've known all along.

No taunts, just needs,

But you don't matter. They matter as you matter with them.

Completely oblivious and yet you know you're here.

You're finally here, this is home.

Weathered and warped, you aren't yet beaten.

Torn from scorn, gloom isn't darkness it's relaxed.
