the gloves leave my fingers blue
blue as the sky, as lips in winter,
an oxygen-deprived vein reaching towards the window
and sunlight reflected by way of the moon
who creates shadows bright enough in the night to
trick me into wishing on airplanes instead of stars:
(I wish on stars and intentionally forget the wishes).

i feel so beautiful right now
i don't measure my weight my the number of meals i eat,
the amount of calories in the food.
I measure it with the books i read,
the poems on fictionpress...
(they scare me to death)
