War

Why fight a war

That is needed no more

With people dying

And families crying

I just can’t take it any more

Out the door

I run until I can no longer

All this is supposed to make me stronger

But it’s not

It’s making my heart rot

With anger I cry

Up to the sky

Stop this war

Before we cry more

Families of soldiers fall

When they get that call

Why should they die?

Please tell me why

If this war is not needed anymore

Please bring them home from the core

From the battleground

And that awful sound

Of people dying

And crying

It rings through their ears

It’s so bad it brings them to tears

Please just bring our boys home
