A/N: Just a simple student x teacher non-lemon ficlet I wrote last summer . . . I didn’t intend to publish this, but DAX (Hi DAX ) insisted. Enjoy. And again constructive criticism is accepted and appreciated, while “flames” will be used to burn down the “flamer’s” house... BWAHAHAHAHA XD

“Damn… I hate it when this happens…”

And again for the third time this week, I almost collapsed during our graduation rehearsals. Three people escorted me to the school infirmary that day, the two were at my sides firmly clutched my arms, so they would be able to catch me if ever I faint. And the other one led the way while blabbering that I shouldn’t have come to school if I wasn’t feeling well. It’s a good thing that crabby old school nurse was on leave . . . she can be so difficult at times. I consumed most of my time there staring at the ceiling, while waiting for our graduation practice to end. Luckily, no one flunked in our class… though I really wish I did, I still didn’t know what to take up in college, while everyone I know had his or her own plans, and… I’m not ready to lose him, yet.

I was about leave when I heard someone/something move about in the adjoining room, How come I didn’t notice someone come in a while ago? The term “ghost” was the first thing that came to my mind; brought about by the rumors that some freshmen saw apparitions in the said room.

Out of curiosity and my innate inquisitiveness, I gently pushed the blue curtain to one side and risked a peek to see who or what it was. I couldn’t help but squeal (but not too loud) in joy when I caught glimpse of an “angel”, lying on a couch, sleeping. I quietly tiptoed towards my sleeping Algebra instructor, and knelt down beside him to get a closer look at his face. He still had his glasses on and held a book in his right hand, he must have fallen asleep while reading. I carefully took the book and glasses, so as not to wake him up, and placed it on top of a corner table.

“How come you look so adorable even while asleep?” I whispered, while gazing intently at his lips, as if waiting for him to answer.

I gently cupped his cheek and placed my thumb on his cheekbone, trailing down to his jaw as it passed through his stubble unshaven beard. His lips slowly curved into a smile. He must be dreaming, or so I thought . . . his smile instantaneously turned into a grin.

“Why’d you stop? That felt really nice.” He said, after sheepishly opening his eyes and looked up at me.

I became flustered; I immediately let go and stood up. He was awake, the whole time!

“I-I’m sorry . . . Mr. Bryn.” Was all I managed to say.

“For what?” he chuckled “To tell you the truth, no one has ever told me I was “adorable”; not even my “ex-girlfriends”.

“The graduation rehearsals is probably over by now, Ms. Decamora, could you help me with something?”

“Whew! I’m beat.”

“Tiring isn’t it? That’s about 180 test papers. I’ve been busy preparing the final exam for the undergraduates. Sorry I dragged you into this”

“Oh, It’s alright. I mean, I’ll be graduating in a week, at least I got to spend time with my “favorite teacher.” slightly giggling at the “favorite teacher” part.

Suddenly I felt this wild urge to wrap my arms around him. I contemplated the idea. I hugged him.

“I’ll miss you.” I gently whispered into his ear.

“It’s been nice having you in my class, I’ll miss you too.” He uttered, as he wrapped his arms around me.

We both stood still for like an eternity, his hands gently caressing my back on occasion. After a while I slowly pulled back and broke the embrace.

“I have to go Mr. Bryn, see you at graduation night!” I chirped.

“Yeah, sure.”
