and just maybe
-
and just maybe now she's drifting
in a sea of new possibilities
-
she can feel her fragile heart
beating frantically in her chest
both from fear and exhilaration
like a drug she can't part from
-
and just maybe she loves the rain still
the rain that froze to snow and ice
-
but didn't you realize—
that winter has almost passed
and spring is soon to arrive;
bringing her the warmth she needs
-
and just maybe she likes the sun
bright and warm; unlike the rain
-
she can't love both, she knows
and what shall she choose but
the blazing rain or vibrant sun
and alas, it is still unknown
