Why does it feel like it's getting harder to stand?

Like the ground is spinning or I'm sinking in sand?

Like the air is dissipating and the light fades?

And the sun is sinking into darker shades?

The moons not there and it's getting warmer,

But then all of a sudden it feels colder.

My heart is slowing, skipping beats,

I'm scared it will stop...defeat.

Each second I shake, each minute I tremble.

Each hour that passes is at the devil's leisure.

Why do I shiver whether sitting or standing?

Why is my body for warmth more demanding?

Why do I struggle through all of this,

With dreams lingering of her kiss?

At first, things were getting easier,

Now it's switched and I'm pained to think of her.

So where will I end or will this stop?

Will my heart untie from this painful knot?
