I thought I might experiment a little with free verse...this is the only one...the rest are rhyming...

Most of my poetry is quite depressing, so if you don't like that kind of poetry you won't like this...don't worry it's not all depressing...

To those you do like that kind of poetry: read it if you wanna...I'd appreciate helpful critisim.

Thank you much!!

Cruel Love.

I would watch you from a distance.

I smiled at your name.

But you toyed with my heart.

Did you think it was a game?

One day I had the courage,

To come to you & say,

The way I really felt for you.

Why did you turn me away?

I felt my world crash around me.

I never knew you to be this way.

I’ll remember your words forever:

You’re just too ugly.”

I’m sitting in my bedroom now, thinking of your words.

I’m looking in the mirror now.

Your words echo around me:

You’re just too ugly.”

I’m lying here with a smile on my face.

Did you think it was a game?

I hope you see what I did for you.

My blood surrounds me.

So tell me now, my only love…

Am I pretty enough now?

Xen x
