Breathing, lying awake, a man gave up his sight for color…

but none too the less was his desire stronger, that he faced it alone that day.

When asked for what a reason, what cause for such riff…

his tongue became entangled with vines.

Words became jumbled like puzzleless pieces…

a tower no blind man could climb.

But yet he set out, hope held in each hand…

demise

struck fire

lost wind.

And so they should say that at least he did try…

for colorless rainbows that bled when they died.
