Drama Club Vampire Chapter 2

“Omigod! He’s so cute!!” Izzy squealed, her eyes lighting up. Standing beside her was Alexi, giving Izzy a puzzled look as they walked down the hallway of C Wing.

“Huh? Yeah, I guess so.” Alexi shrugged.

“You GUESS so?!” Izzy freaked, “They is single handedly the CUTEST guy who has EVER walked our hallways!! And he’s the star of our play!! Oh…I only hope I get to play the part of Ellie, just to sing along side him! And then…at the end…share a Passionate kiss…” Hearts floated above her eyes, until she tripped over a garbage can.

“Oh, you klutz” Alexi giggled.

A hand reached down to Izzy to aid her standing.

“You need to be a bit more careful Miss…” the person said.

“Reh?!” Izzy turned red, and began yelling. “I DON’T NEED ANY HELP YOU POMPOUS JER- EEK!”

Drake just smiled back to her. “Come now, I’m only trying to be nice.”

Like a thunderbolt, Izzy was up, crying, and hugging Drake to a point she was choking him. “OHTHANKYOUSWEETPRINCEIWASNTSUREWHATIWASGUNNADOBUTYOUSAVEDMEILOVEYOU!!!!!”

“Gack!!” Drake pushed her away and brushed himself off. “It was nothing. Uh…you….” He looked at Alexi.

“Hmm?”

“I managed to catch your audition. You were dazzling.”

“What?!” Izzy yelled. “You like this little untalented brat?!”

Drake smiled “I’m sure you did wonderfully as well. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch your performance.” Izzy just about fainted.

“Hehe…thanks I suppose. You did nicely yourself.” Alexi blushed.

Drake smirked and stared at her eye widened, “Maybe we could get together sometime and rehear-“he was interrupted by the bell. “4th period?”

“OH CRAP!!” Alexi yelled. She ran past Drake, knocking him over. “I’m Sorry, I’m late for class! I’ll talk to you later Izzy! And see you at rehearsal Mr.….Callings, right? Bye!”

Drake toppled onto the pass out Izzy, puzzled.

“It….didn’t work? Who is that girl?”

Later that night, Alexi was walking through the park with a small grocery bag.

“I really need to stop forgetting to buy these.” She signed to herself. From the distance, she heard a woman scream. Alexi turned around, scared, “What was that?!”

She started walking again after a few seconds, with a faster, more nervous pace. She heard something approach her from behind, like wings flapping. She turned around again to see a bat fly ridiculously close to her head. She ducked a screamed slightly. When she looked up, the bat was gone. She signed, and began laughing.

“I walk through this park all the time! There’s nothing here! Hah hah hah-“

“Oh, Miss….Alexi, isn’t it?” a dark figure in front of her said.

“EEEK!!!” Alexi screamed. She began swinging her bag wildly.

“Oh no! Alexi! It’s only me! Drake Callings!” He said, frantically trying to avoid the plastic bag,

After a few minutes of avoiding the girls frightened swings did he manage to calm her down.

“Oh, I’m sorry Mr. Callings… I guess I was a little scared.”

“Want me to walk you home?”

“Sure…if you don’t mind.”

“I wouldn’t have offered if I minded.” He smirked.

“What are you doing out here so late at night?” Alexi questioned.

“Oh, was just taking a small tour of the city. I’m more of a night person, so I waited until dark. Let’s just say I love the night life…the beats, the neon lights, ladies….”

“Oh, well all the clubs are downtown. I’m sure you can buy some glow sticks and kneepads there if you don’t have any, as for the ladies, most of them are floozies so I’m sure you’ll have no trouble-“

“I think you misinterpreted what I meant!!” Drake said frantically.

“Oh? You aren’t a raver?”

“Did I ever say I was?!”

“Oh, sorry!” Alexi smiled.

Drake sighed. “That’s ok. Let’s just get you home safe…” He smirked once more, showing off a large fang.

They continued walked, Drake always drawing an inch closer each step. He got closer, and closer, and closer….

“Oh!” Alexi stopped walking, Drake tripping over himself as to not run into the girl. “I just wanted to say, good luck with the play!” Alexi beamed towards him.

“Yeah…you too…” He sighed.

“I’ll probably just get some bit part…I would love to play Ellie!”

“Oh?” He said; standing up, ready to pounce.

“Yeah, I mean…it’s such a great role! You get to sing, dance, and swordfight!”

Drake jumped towards her, ready to knock her to the ground. However…

“Oh! I nickel!!” Alexi bent over to pick it up, Drake flying right over her, landing on the ground head first. “Oh, did you fall?”

“….yes…” Drake said, ignoring the pain. He quickly regained his composure.

“But….”

Drake stopped and looked at her. Alexi turned towards him and smiled “It’s a really emotional role, ya know? It’s her that makes Dracula want to change his evil blood sucking ways.” Drake just stared at her for a moment. He turned his head slightly, “I’m sure you’ll get the part.”

“You think so?”

“Sure. You’re a great singer. I would love to be on the main stage with you.” The thought of complimenting her made Drake cringe a little.

“If there’s anything left of you, that is”

“Oh!” Alexi squeaked.

“Huh? What’s wrong?”

“I dropped my bag…” Alexi said embarrassed, pointing to her grocery bag on the ground.

“Here…allow me…” He said, gazing into her eyes. He picked up the bag, and began to give it to her. However, he began feeling…itchy.

“Ahh…” he twitched.

“What’s wrong?”

“Just an itch….uh…what’s in this bag?” He said, still cringing.

“Oh! Just the key ingredient to my garlic mashed potatoes! Garlic!”

“GARLIC?!” Drake freaked. He ran over behind a tree, holding his mouth with one hand, scratching himself with the other.

“Oh my! Are you ok?”

“I’m…uh…allergic! To garlic! Yeah!”

“Oh…I was gunna offer you some. Oh well. My apartment is over that way. Thank you for walking me home” Alexi said, as she waved. From behind the tree, Drake managed to stop scratching himself to give a quick wave.

A few minutes later, he gazed over from behind the tree. She was out of sight.

“Man…what an infuriating girl…. but I couldn't seduce her? It’s never failed me before….I shall have to talk to James about this…”

The moon revealed itself and shown all across the park. Drake was gone, and a lone bat flew through the air.
