Collateral

A pair of cynical eyes scanned the scene from beneath a rising hair line of salt and pepper hair. He had dark circles beneath his eyes and a grizzled beard. The grey collar of his suit was pulled up high around the sides of his chin. His tie was long gone and the white cuffs of his shirt were exposed by his outstretched arms. From these cuffs, a pair of sweaty and wrinkled hands held a pistol cocked downward to follow the angle of his arms to his shoulders.
