FINALLY! I have been plagued with writers block but i've managed to write a chapter :)

Thanks to everyone who reviewed and enjoy!

Dukaro, Shyna, Jin and the surviving soldiers returned to the castle, Dukaro holding his chest with one hand; his armour had taken the brunt of the attack, leaving a vertical line up the chest plate, but it still hurt. Shyna led the way, she had a few scratches, and Jin brought up the rear behind the soldiers; he was unscathed.

“This is your fault Shyna!” Dukaro snapped.

“Mine!?” The girl whipped around to face the older man. “You’re the one who couldn’t hold the wall up!” She started.

“You wound the Telek up!” He argued back.

“You couldn’t handle one little girl!”

The pair looked about ready to destroy each other; Jin shook his head and calmly strolled past them, sometimes they fought like cat and dog.

“You shouldn’t worry about whose to blame.” He stated. “Worry about what the Queen will do to you.” Jin continued on slowly with everyone in tow, he thought back to his encounter with Storm, while Tonya was being restrained; the boy’s focus seemed only on the safety of the girl- a Telek. The swordsmen couldn’t figure out why the boy had done such a thing, he thought about it a little more and finally came to a conclusion; the boy was in love.

That could be useful to the Queen.

Tonya sat on the edge of the fountain and dipped her fingers into the water. She had a headache and needed to be away from the noise of the festivities.

She needed to be away from Raduko.

Tonya sighed and looked towards the large fire the villagers had made, they had musicians playing and they were celebrating their freedom from Roku, they feasted but Tonya wasn’t hungry; the images of the dead soldiers made her stomach twist. Storm, Raduko and new recruit Tasma seemed to be enjoying themselves and that alone made her smile, she was glad her companions were safe and unharmed. Storm looked at her over his shoulder and motioned for her to join them, she shook her head and looked back at the water; Storm excused himself from the group and joined her.

“You shouldn’t be sat here on your own; they’re throwing this for you.”

“I know, but I can’t bring myself to enjoy it when Roku is so near.” She explained and studied him, her gaze falling to his arm. “How is your shoulder?”

“Sore but it’ll be fine. I’m more worried about you.”

“Don’t be I’m fine.” She cast her eyes back the villagers and her eyes fell to Raduko who was watching them, he glared at her and she glared back. If I had the energy. She began and then stopped herself with a shake of her head.

“Are you sure?” Storm tilted his head to the side to get a better look at her.

“I have a headache it’s nothing.” She assured.

“It’s Raduko isn’t it?” The swordsman glanced at Raduko. “He told me the opposite of what Shyna said, do you think she lied?”

“No I don’t think Shyna is the lying type, none of them are.” She wiped her hand on her pants, feeling her fingers becoming cold. “He’s disowned his brother, something I cannot do; Roku is all I have left.”

“You have me.” Storm said quietly.

“But what will become of us when the war is over?”

“I don’t know…” They were quiet for a moment until he spoke again. “Where to next?”

“I…I’m not sure…” She rested her elbows on her knees and ran her fingers through her hair. “The Seifuku are everywhere…Bolian is such a small country…” She let out a frustrated sigh; she wasn’t a leader, she didn’t have a plan and she didn’t think she’d get this far alive-she was lost. “We can’t keep running like this but at the same time there aren’t enough of us to fight…”

“Then we should head to Equoya.” Raduko said as he approached with Tasma at his side. “We can train with the army and help with preparations.”

“And if the Seifuku should cut us off?” Storm asked.

“Then we’ll find another way.”

Storm looked to Tonya; she seemed to be thinking it through thoroughly. “Tonya?”

“Yeah you guys do that.”

“You’re not coming?”

She shook her head with a small smile. “No, I’ll be a diversion; after all it’s me they want.”

“You have to come, Tonya!” Tasma protested. “You can’t leave me alone with him!” The small girl pointed fiercely up at Raduko.

“You could always go back home like a good little girl.” The older man suggested then looked to Tonya. “You have to come; the King will be concerned about your safety.”

“I’m sure he has faith in my abilities.”

“You’re coming, even if I have to drag you!” Raduko snarled.

“You listen to me!” She quickly stood. “You’ve been nothing but hostile towards me; I don’t know what I’ve done to upset you but I’m in charge here so you need to get over it and do as I say!”

“You’re related to her, that monster!”

“And you’re related to Dukaro but I’m not having a fit about it!”

Raduko grabbed her by the neck tightly and looked down at her with anger, sadness, and hate filled eyes. “He is not my brother! He betrayed us long ago and my family exiled him.” He squeezed harder and Tonya reached up to try to tear his fingers from her neck. “And your sister killed my fiancé!”

“Raduko let go she can’t breathe!” Storm jumped in and wrapped his arm around the other mans neck, hoping he’ll let go before he killed Tonya. “LET GO OF HER!”

Raduko suddenly felt a sharp pain shoot through his head from his temple; he released Tonya and stumbled back, almost falling back on Storm. Tasma stood with her staff in hand; her eyes narrowed in Raduko’s general direction. Storm rushed to Tonya’s side as she held her neck and coughed, she nodded to confirm she was ok and thanked Tasma. Suddenly they noticed everything was quite and Raduko turned to see the entire village staring at them; he growled and stormed off to the inn where they were staying.

“Are you sure you’re alright?” Storm asked later in Tonya’s room.

“I’m fine, really.” She assured as she sat on the edge of the bed. “My neck is just sore.”

“Let me see.” Storm sat next to her and inspected her neck in the dim light. “There’s nothing there now but it’ll probably bruise later.”

“MmHm.” She nodded.

“Don’t let what happened bother you, ok?”

“I won’t it’s just…” She looked away from him. “After hearing what Raduko had said I realise that, as the sister of Roku, I’m going to get half of the blame for what’s happened in these people’s lives, the destruction that’s been caused and the deaths. It’s going to be a burden I’ll have to live with forever…”

“None of this is your fault.” He assured.

“I know but.”

“No.” He gently grabbed her by the chin and forced her to look at him. “It’s not your fault and nobody will blame you, I don’t blame you and neither will Raduko once he’s thought about what he did and calms down.”

“Alright.”

Storm quickly inspected the wound on her cheek; even though it hadn’t really been cleaned it seemed to be healing without any problems. “Why won’t you come with us? To Equoya?”

“I don’t need to be in another place where I am hated for who I am.”

“It could be different there; you might be adored for being you.” He smiled.

“Wishful thinking.” She gently grabbed the hand that was holding her chin and smiled. “You can let go of me now.”

Storm slowly let go but didn’t take his eyes off her. “Please come with us.”

“I can’t.”

He wrapped his hand around hers. “What if you’re captured again?”

“She won’t kill me.” She squeezed his hand. “Will you take care of Tasma for me?”

He nodded. “I promise.” He leaned in and gently pressed his lips to hers. The younger girl was shocked at first but returned the kiss and embraced him. “Be careful.” He whispered in her ear.

“I will.” She buried her face into his neck. “I promise.”

Will being seperated from Tonya really be better for the rebels? What will Roku do to her three top soldiers? How long will it be before i update this again?

Could be a while.
