Life’s Picture

In the steady flow of life,
A river of never-ending time,
The past and future
Forms a rope, a chain
Knotted at the present;
In either direction
What was and what's to come
Stretch out to forever,
And relatively,
To this everything,
The present is nothing-
A picture,
A brief snapshot;
Yet still we choose
To live it.
