Young, laughing, happy and satisfied
There were no days of worries
Love, fun, pleasent, teased
I ignored the rest
The teasing went on
I stood outside the world
The darkness, the corner that is my place
Once again love
Failure, laughter, the corner
Hiding behind people, pets, toys and a book
Getting attention, let me be with you, help me!
Let me go, free me!
Prisoner in my own world.
I’m there yet away
Accepted yet not accepted
Different style, yes that should work.
But it didn’t
New people, new idea.
Being me would satisfy them
But it didn’t
They called me nerd
Watching from a corner
Teased, abandoned
Abused and alone
There were no friend
I decided to be someone else
To hide in a shell
I became someone else
There came a friend
But she began
To call me names
When she saw the real me
The shell closed
I accepted it
Then the shell opened again
There came more friends
They accepted me!
Or not...
I wasn’t me anymore
I hid in my shell
That was my hidingplace
They didn’t need to know the truth
I’m me when I’m someone else!
