My favorite kind of weather,
is right before a storm.
When the wind that’s blowing in,
cools your eyes,
excites your heart.
You know that the storms coming,
with the thunder and the rain.
But right before that stuff arrives
the wind blows away the pain.
The sky begins to darken
to give a subtle warning
it’s a nice break from the sun
that tears you awake
in the morning.
So my favorite kind of weather,
is right before a storm;
when the wind that’s blowing in,
cools your eyes
and calms your heart.
