I Sing

I sing a song of madness,
Of raging obsession
And inpenetrable darkness.
I sing a song of insanity,
Of fiery passion
And nature’s caressing memory.

Words are my weapon,
My life, my love.
Watch as I write of the stars above;
The sea, the wind, the rain, a war,
Original thoughts all brought galore.

Open your eyes, see into my soul
Find what I’m hiding,
Learn that I’m no fool.
Go on ahead, keep searching,
Tell me when you’ve found what you’re looking for.

Words are my weapon,
My life, my love.
Watch as I write of the stars above;
The sea, the wind, the rain, a war,
Original thoughts all brought galore.

My heart is open,
My soul bared.
You see my weapon,
My life, my love.
No other exists,
Not that I know of.

Can you teach me?

I sing a song of sorrow,
Of the depth of yearning,
And crazed wonder.
I sing a song of tomorrow,
Of all that I am learning,
And my dreams, no longer asunder,
But never what I know myself.

Words are my weapon,
My life, my love.
Listen as I tell you of the care from above;
The passion, the glory, the honor, don’t you see?
My dreams I now wield,
For today is founded forever
By yesterday’s dreams
Of a brighter tomorrow.

Tis thee I sing.
